<p>Over the last few weeks two very cool videos have popped up on YouTube.</p>
<p>The first is a fake news segment dealing with the worlds only superhero with powers, Dr. Manhattan.</p>
<p>NBS Nightly News with Ted Philips, March 11th 1970</p>
<p><object width="480" height="385" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/nd5cInmK6LQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nd5cInmK6LQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object></p>
<p>This second one is a US Government anti superhero propaganda piece. It suggests you should stay away from Rorschach, probably good advice.</p>
<p>The Keene Act &amp; YOU (1977)</p>
<p><object width="480" height="385" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/n5WsciSNVS0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/n5WsciSNVS0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object></p>
<p>I&#8217;m finding myself getting more psyched for WATCHMEN every day, March 5 can&#8217;t come soon enough.</p>

<p>About halfway through 2007 I started keeping a list of all the films I see, where I saw them and gave them a numerical rating out of 10. I was curious to see how many films I watch in a given year and how time alters my opinion of them.</p>
<p>With 2008 being the first complete year of the list I&#8217;ve decided to compile a Top 10 list for the year along with a Most Disappointing.</p>
<p>Just taking a cursory view of the list after sorting by ranking I was surprised at the results. A couple of big films from earlier in the year appeared a lot higher than expected and after a subsequent viewing will probably end up getting knocked down a few notches. Likewise there are a few films that have unexpectedly stuck with me, that will probably move up. I&#8217;m glad I&#8217;ve kept the list though as it gives me a good foundation to work from.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll wait until January 1 2009 before I start posting the list as there are a few late releases that could be contenders namely &#8220;<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0985699/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0985699/');" target="_blank">Valkyrie</a>&#8220;, &#8220;<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421715/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421715/');" target="_blank">The Curious Case of Benjamin Button</a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0870111/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0870111/');" target="_blank">Frost/Nixon</a>&#8220;.</p>
